Hold On

Hold On
I took a step towards the edge of what's real
Hoping to find some truth
A simple key to what is really there
Something that could help me through
When she left there was no time to think
Everything happened too fast
A rush of wind that knocked us off our feet
Never thought that it wouldn't last
I was praying every chance I had
Begging to be taken instead
But I ran into a silent brick wall
Ya I was praying hard to be dead
And every time that I would look at her
My heart would fill with fear and dread
I couldn't take it couldn't understand
How could the world be that bad
So hold on love her every day
Let her know make sure you say
Just how much she means to you
And make sure she knows it's the truth
Hold her just tell how it is
Give her all the love you can give
Tell her your love will last
Cause suddenly it can pass
I know she really knew that I'd love her forever
It wouldn't be better
But with such a change in the world all around us
I start to wonder
Did I give enough love
Did I show enough love
Did she know how much I cared
Hold on love her every day
Let her know make sure you say
Just how much she means to you
And make sure she knows it's the truth
Hold her just tell how it is
Give her all the love you can give
Tell her your love will last
Cause suddenly it can pass
She takes my hand but something's not quite right
I follow her anyway
I feel I'm floating there's a funny light
But I'm happy and she's just the same
So I turn to her and try to say
I love you but there is no sound
Then I wake up knowing it's a dream
Heavy sadness creeps in all around
Hold on love her every day
Let her know make sure you say
Just how much she means to you
And make sure she knows it's the truth
Hold her just tell how it is
Give her all the love you can give
Tell her your love will last
Cause suddenly it can pass
Hold on love her every day
Let her know make sure you say
Just how much she means to you
And make sure she knows it's the truth
Hold her just tell how it is
Give her all the love you can give
Tell her your love will last
Cause suddenly it can pass

Each Passing Year
05:08

Each Passing Year
She noticed trees she loved to tease
Flowers were her gift
To be alive was a prize
And she could not resist
Enjoying every thing around
Good or bad she wasn't proud
Just happy to be here or anywhere
She always took the time to stop
To see what those around could not
The color of the sky or something new
And if she was late she'd contemplate
Then put it down to being fate
Then look around for something she could do
She planted seeds and now there's trees
In places where they wouldn't grow
She'd bring a barren field back to life
And she could make the flowers bloom
Anywhere that she would choose
She beautified my world and made it right
She always had a smile on tap
You didn't have to wait too long
She'd light up a room and make it glow
And when she laughed it make me laugh
And if she cried it went right through
My heart would ache and long to hold her close
With each passing year we would both realize
Love just got better grew deeper inside
If anything came that might tear it apart
We'd stand together and fight from the heart
If we made mistakes we would learn to forgive
Knowing that love had the power to win
Away from each other there'd always be pain
So I could never wait to be home again
She always held her head up high
No matter what was thrown her way
She'd put everyone before herself
She'd always fight for what was right
And drown the shadows with her light
No matter what the cost she'd always help
Then suddenly there's something wrong
That puts her on a different path
But she still stands up very proud and tall
And as her world comes crashing down
My heart is broke without a sound
Our world's are torn apart and she is gone
With each passing year we would both realize
Love just got better grew deeper inside
If anything came that might tear it apart
We'd stand together and fight from the heart
If we made mistakes we would learn to forgive
Knowing that love had the power to win
And now that she's gone there is nothing but rain
An' it just don't feel right going home again
With each passing year we would both realize
Love just got better grew deeper inside
If anything came that might tear it apart
We'd stand together and fight from the heart
If we made mistakes we would learn to forgive
Knowing that love had the power to win
And now that she's gone there is nothing but rain
An' it just don't feel right going home again....
No it doesn't feel right going home again
And I just never want to go home again
No I just don't want to go home again
I just don't want to go home again
I don't want to be alone no more
I just don't want to go home again
I just cannot go home again

Carry On

Carry On
I hear a voice calling my name
I spin around am I going insane
Cause there's no one but me
I feel all alone in this place
Then I realize that I'm very lost
I don't recognize one single spot
Though I've been around here
I've lived around here all my life
Someone tell me what's going on
I'm so damned confused I used to be strong
But now I seem blind to the fact that I no longer can
Someone help me to climb this old hill
Cause all of a sudden I'm so bloody frail
I don't like the change but I know that I must carry on
I see a mirror at the end of a hall
Who is this person I just can't recall
I don't like what I see but there's no way
To change Father Time
Then I see the face of a very old friend
He tells me that he can no longer pretend
That he's not the same man
And he's sad that he's run out of time
Someone tell me what's going on
I'm so damned confused I used to be strong
But now I seem blind to the fact that I no longer can
Someone help me to climb this old hill
Cause all of a sudden I'm so bloody frail
I don't like the change but I know that I must carry on
If I could be anything I'd be a young man
One more time
Just to remember what I've left behind
If I could be anywhere
I'd be right there by your side
And that's where I'd stay till the end of all time
Tell me what's going on
I'm so damned confused I used to be strong
But now I seem blind to the fact that I no longer can
Someone help me to climb this old hill
Cause all of a sudden I'm so bloody frail
I don't like the change but I know that I must carry on
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Must carry on
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Must carry on
Aah aah aah aah aah aah aah
Must carry on
Aah aah aah aah aah aah aah
Must carry on....fade

Dreams

Dreams
Sitting in the dark before the dawn
Doing my best to recreate the dream
Since a memory is all that I have left
I struggle and you exit from the scene
Guided by...the uncertainty
That life is real or just another dream
It makes me want to not wonder anymore
Cause why is all I've thought since you've been gone
The world is made of things that I could never break
Yet it crumbles at my feet when things go wrong
And then a waking moment tells me that it is too real
Intensified by being all alone
Waking every morning with you by my side
I still feel your breath against my cheek
It makes me want to stay right there and hold you tight
And we would always be
Instrumental breaks
Sitting in the darkness feeling wrong
Vivid dreams that disappear at dawn
There you were in all your splendor in my mind
But I could not recall the dream in time
Guided by the uncertainty
That life is real or is it just another dream
It makes me want to not wonder anymore
Cause why just has me going round and round
Waking every morning with you by my side
I still feel your breath against my cheek
It makes me want to stay right there and hold you tight
And we would always be
Waking every morning with you by my side
I still feel your breath against my cheek
It makes me want to stay right there and hold you tight
And we would always be

No One Knows

No One Knows
I used to dream
Of how I would change the world
I was a young king
I would win every time
I met every challenge
With the fury of ten good men
But as time played with my mind
I realized that this is just life
Now you know
And I know
No one knows about tomorrow
You know and I know
No one knows
No one really knows
As time gathers speed
I no longer try so hard
Cause now I can see
That no one wins every time
It's too much to challenge
It's larger than all mankind
It seems there's no hope for the hopeless
Seems there's no way to change
Cause you know
And I know
No one knows about tomorrow
You know and I know
No one knows
No one really knows
I spent so long wondering why
Why the world makes it so hard to try
Thought somehow that I had it made
But now I know that tomorrow will always change
You know
And I know
No one knows about tomorrow
You know and I know
No one knows no one knows
You know
And I know
No one knows about tomorrow
You know and I know
No one knows
No one really knows.
No one knows
No one knows….

Eilee

Eilee
I've been across the land wandered all the streets
I was at a crossroad in the middle of the sea
I didn't know which way to turn lost as I could be
Going all the wrong ways but then you came to me
You opened up a new door every single day
Helped me through my troubled life kept me running straight
Things I never thought of you would teach me how
And if I couldn't learn the way you always helped me out
Eilee you took me by the hand
And I became a whole new man
Eilee you opened up my eyes
You helped me see the light
I fell into the well of love deeper every day
And I knew there was no way out I was here to stay
We settled for the long haul ready right away
Things would always work out forever was our play
Time did pass and we were free we took it all in stride
We went through our life together taking every ride
Though there were times of good and bad we always made it through
No matter what we came across we would never lose
Eilee you took me by the hand
And I became a whole new man
Eilee you opened up my eyes
You helped me see the light
You have me dancing dancing like never before
And now I'm laughing cause you just made me laugh some more
You keep me flying higher than I've ever known
Right now it seems like I have never been alone
We sailed across the sea flew across the sky
Then something came along and we had to say goodbye
But we will join it love again I just won't be denied
Cause I still feel your heartbeat it's part of my whole life
I won't forget the times we had you kept my life alive
You were everything to me your presence made me fly
The sadness that is in my heart will never go away
I will always love you and we will meet again someday
Eilee you took me by the hand
And I became a whole new man
Eilee you opened up my eyes
You helped me see the light
Eilee you took me by the hand
And I became a whole new man
Eilee you opened up my eyes
You helped me see the light
Eilee you took me by the hand
And I became a whole new man
Eilee you opened up my eyes
You helped me see the light

Time Can't Change

Time Can't Change
I used to think that my world was forever
Nothing would change
We would go on till the end of all time
And when it was good there could be nothing better
Now nothing remains
Nothing remains now and I was so blind
So now I wash off the pain by drinking all day
Pretend that life's just a game and living is pay
To keep from going insane I always replay
The past that we once had
Time can't change
Time has a way to remember what's better
Like nothing else can
Given enough it can soften the blow
It didn't allow us to grow old together
Now I understand
I understand that it has full control
So now I wash off the pain by drinking all day
Pretend that life's just a game and living is pay
To keep from going insane I always replay
The past that we once had
Time can't change
It's so hard to go on living
When someone you love will never return
But time has a way of forgiving
Reducing the pain your thoughts start to change
Yet they remain.....
I have been running and hiding but now
I'm slowing down
But I've kept the memories of you and of me
Now I'm taking the pain I'm trying to put it away
I'm playing life's game trying to make it pay
I'm still a little insane but I'll always replay
The past I remember we had
Now I'm taking the pain I'm trying to put it away
I'm playing life's game trying to make it pay
I'm still a little insane but I'll always replay
The past I remember we had
Time can't change nooooo
Time can't change nooooo
Time can't change

Shadows
03:28
|

Shadows
From the corner of my eye I see
Something move in the chair you sat
A brief moment of joy comes to me
But it's just the shadow of your old cat
In the middle of a thought I hear
Your voice say to me that the pain won't last
But everyday it becomes more clear
That life's just a shadow of all that's past and gone
As the clouds move across the sky
Drifting back to when we first met
We said our love could never die
But now a shadow of love is all that's left
And everyday as it turns to night
My heart will break all over again
Taken that way no time to fight
Now I stay in the shadows just to hide my pain
In the middle of a long dark night
I still hear your voice
And as I go through a long hard day
It seems I have no choice
To get on with my life again
They say it's what I need
But the shadows remain
They're never going to let me be
I see the shadow that the dawn creates
Growing dark as the night gives way
And as I contemplate my own harsh fate
The shadows return for another day
They always change as the light moves around
I see the shapes of you and me
And though they move without a sound
When I become a shadow that's the day that I'll be free
In the middle of a long dark night
I still hear your voice
And as I go through a long hard day
It seems I have no choice
To get on with my life again
They say it's what I need
But the shadows remain
They're never going to let me be
From the corner of my eye I see
Something move in the chair you sat
A brief moment of joy comes to me
But it's just a shadow and I'm left flat

Tell Me Why
04:52
|

Tell Me Why
A mountain before me
One that I will never climb
It's now there to haunt me
The peak was for you and I
Now I have my memories
But I have been so unsure
Cause each day my life brings
A sadness that can't be cured
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why it had to be you
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why you had to be the one
One day there's a plateau
Leads me to a peaceful past
And I think of the good times
But suddenly it's downhill fast
Then I'm on to a new trail
Takes me to the love we shared
Life takes a stumble
Then you're gone and I am so scared
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why it had to be you
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why you had to be the one
Together we'd reach a new peak
We'd make the top everytime
So much love we couldn't be beat
Nothing could stop our great climb
We spent our years close to the sky
Higher than each time before
But suddenly the ledge gives away
And my life is forever torn
A valley before me
One that I may never cross
The fall has destroyed me
It's left me confused and lost
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why it had to be you
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why you had to be the one
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why it had to be you
Tell me why....Tell me why
Tell me why you had to be the one
Tell me why..tell me why
Tell me why tell me why
Tell me why tell me why tell me why
Tell me whyyyy
Tell me why tell me why
Tell me why tell me why
Tell me why tell me why
Tell me why tell me why
Tell me why tell me why
Tell me why tell me whyyyyy
Tell my why...........repeat and fade

Who Cares
04:04
|

Who Cares
Sometimes I feel I'm falling
But I'm too damn tired to care
Could easily be that I'm just worn out
From trying to do my share
But no one cares
Someday's I feel like fighting
I don't think that I would ever win
I'd learn all the rules but I'd just be a fool
I know I'd take it on the chin
And no one cares
I've worked so hard and I'm still nowhere
Near the end of what I'd call fair
And if I try something new
Well it's old again before I'm halfway through
Sometimes I say revolution
But all I get is a stare
So you pay the cash or they'll penalize your ass
Whether or not it's fair
They don't care
Sometimes I feel like screaming
It's all the damn rules that are made
Stand behind this or that line
Make sure you walk this way
But do we care
I've worked so hard and I'm still nowhere
Near the end of what I'd call fair
And if I try something new
Well it's old again before I'm halfway through
Repeat chorus 2 more times
